Dorothy A. Martin-Neville, Ph.D.
Dorothy is an international speaker, teacher, author, psychotherapist, medical intuitive, and healer.
Having been in the field of psychotherapy since 1983, Dr. Dorothy has approached this work from a wide variety of perspectives while continuously expanding her understanding and her teachings of the human condition. Because she is an intrinsically spiritual woman she sees so much of the difficulties and pains we are experiencing as being that of embodied souls who are struggling to come to terms with their own humanity. When we are lead to be pioneers in our field, to have a big picture of what our lives and communities can be like, and of who we can become, while also being pulled to compete, to get ahead, to possess, and to simply survive, we can become amazingly overwhelmed, frightened, and anxiety ridden.
Dr. Dorothy’s approach to all of this, as a result of her training, her experiences, and her research, has been to support those she works with to take the time to stop, look within, and rediscover their own passions, vibrancy and dreams, to remember who they truly are meant to be. In doing so, they become far more aware of the real meaning of their lives, their purpose, and their reason for being here. She has an innate, instinctive, understanding of how spiritual beliefs impact our emotional states and how those emotional states directly impact physical health.
She has brought this message to others through her private practice in psychotherapy for over 25 years, teaching at the graduate school level, as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Connecticut Medical School, and a the founder her own educational institution, The Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences. As a pioneer in the field, through IHAS she offered a four-year Energy Medicine Practitioner Program as well as two-year Energy Medicine Certificate Program. In addition to being affiliated with over 40 hospitals and medical facilities across the country where her 3rd & 4th year students did medical internships, the school was approved by the Connecticut Commissioner of the Department of Higher Education. For over 15 years the mission of the school was to both train those interested in developing their healing skills in energy medicine as well as to support each student in overcoming the obstacles that kept them from recognizing their truth and living their soul's purpose. Training basic energy medicine technicians was never her goal, training leaders in the field of integrative spiritual healing was her objective and she was blessed to surpass her many times over.
Now, after years of teaching her work in the more traditional format and having a private practice Dr. Dorothy is changing her approach by providing:

In all that she does, Dr. Dorothy continues to share her message of passion, joy, humor, and faith as the necessary tools for living. Her life purpose is to bring back the awareness of spirituality and unconditional love as key values in living while supporting others, regardless of the venue, in coming alive – reclaiming their passion and remembering their dreams... Dorothy, a compelling, faith-filled woman is an inspiration in living.
